For week 13
Wow! I can't believe how fast six weeks has gone by! We start week 13 next Tuesday January 5th at 9:00 am! I am going to be using this week to work on my lesson plans for our home school. I will be evaluating what curriculum is working and what I need to change. It's okay to stop using a curriculum if it isn't working. Don't feel compelled to use it just because you paid for it. Sell it online or to Bibliomania. Use what works! Talk to other parents' to see what is working for them. Now is the perfect time to change up things.
Don't forget to bring in maps you have been working on over the break!
For Week 13:
Family Presentations - The Wilson Family
Playground Duty - Taylor and Kirkeby Families
Suggested Oral Presentations:
Impromptu: No need to prepare, your tutors will give you a topic in class.
Skill: Get to know your audience
Memory Review: We will review week #12 and History Cumulative (weeks 7-12)
Art this quarter will be focusing on Great Artists such as Giotto, Durer, and Michelangelo to name a few. This quarter will be hands on art. Our students will be learning a technique of an artist and we will be adapting to make something in the 30 minute portion. Our purpose is to introduce the students and parents to the artists and their techniques. (Your students might want to bring a smock or old shirt every week). We will be working with egg paint this week.
Also, if you have friends that were looking to join CC we have openings in each of our classes for this coming semester. Actually, anyone can join CC at anytime of the year.

Prayer
"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith". Galatians 6: 9-10 New Living Translation.
