FFA Wins Events
Lumber River Federation
The Scotland High School FFA Chapter members participated in the Lumber River Federation Leadership Career Development Events held at St. Paul's High School. The chapter participated in the Agricultural Tools and Materials Identification, Creed and Prepared Public Speaking. The Agricultural Tools and Material Identification event consists of the identification phase of identifying 40 tools or materials and and the knowledge base phase matching twenty tools with their correct use. In the Creed event participates must recite from memory the latest version of the FFA Creed. Participates in the Prepared Public Speaking event must prepare and present a speech of agricultural nature that is a minimum of six minutes and a maximum of eight minutes.
The Scotland FFA Tool Team placed 3rd in the competition and will participate in the State contest in Raleigh in June. Team members are Peyton Bryant, Caleb Dial, Mira Ward and Ariel Darsloe. Althea Ward place 1st in the Creed contest and Rylee Roller placed 1st in the Prepared Public speaking event and they will participate in the regional competition at Fayetteville Tech on April 15.
