Principal's Note
Hello Ramsey families!
Congratulations to all our Quarter 2 honor roll students! Their personal investment in their learning goes a long way. We also know it takes a support network as well, so families please pat yourself on the back for a good job in supporting learning at home!
Ramsey students continue to explore learning about African American History this month! Be sure to check in with your scholar on the connections they are making!
A few reminders that help us keep students safe at Ramsey:
- Masks are still required – please make sure you are checking in with your student on their masks and making sure they have comfortable, well fitted masks for while at school. (We still are providing masks as students need!)
- Parent Pick-up: Please utilize Cambridge and the Grand parking lot for afternoon pick-up. There are two buses that also need access to the Cambridge street, so cars need to pull up as close as possible to create room. School ends at 3 p.m. If you arrive early for student pick-up, please do not call the office asking for your student to be released early – this is a really busy time and our clerk is the only one in the office.
- Grand Avenue businesses are very inviting! Just a reminder that students leaving school grounds to visit Grand Avenue businesses are unable to ride buses home.
- Please do not deliver food or have food delivered to your student during lunches. It is not the responsibility of office staff to facilitate these deliveries. SPPS Nutritional Services offers two meal choices and a wonderful salad and fruit bar daily.
- Mid Quarter 3 conferences are coming up – please watch for the information to sign up for virtual conferences
Finally, there is no school on Monday in honor of Presidents Day. Enjoy the long week-end.
Sincerely,
Teresa Vibar
