Welcome Back! Be The One To...Empower, Encourage and Inspire!
What a great first few days of school here at Eagleville. The students were excited to meet their teachers just as much as the teachers were excited to greet them. Students quickly fell into the routines. The Eagles Nest will come out every Monday (Except on holidays or days off) so please read for news on upcoming events at school. I will also include pictures of classroom projects, assemblies, and other events. We look forward to a great year! Don't forget to check the list of upcoming events at the bottom of the newsletter.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE:
Parents/Guardians: We will not change a dismissal procedure for your child without a note or call to the office prior to 3:00 PM. For example, if you tell your child they are car loop rather than bus for that day, and we do not receive a note or call the child will be on the bus. This is a necessary procedure to ensure the safety of our students, and keep our buses on time for departures.
*REMINDER: A valid PA driver’s license or United States Passport is required to gain entrance to the school through our Lobby Guard system for any reason including volunteering.

From the School Counselor
Welcome Back… to school, to a new class, to new friends and a new teacher. Transitions can be difficult for children and often difficult for parents too. The start of a fresh school year is a great time to develop different routines. One of the most routines is to make sure your child is well rested. It is recommended that 5-10 year old children get 10-12 hours of sleep each night. Encourage your child to count back the hours on a clock from when they awake to determine the appropriate bedtime. Having children be an active part of this process may help them cooperate in going to bed on time. I am looking forward to visiting all classrooms during the first two weeks of school, so keep an eye out for my introduction letter. I will also share parenting, mindfulness and counseling tips with you throughout the year, but you are always welcome to contact me if you have specific concerns.
