Legos are ridiculously educational:
Photobricks
Photobricks is a completely free, ridiculously easy-to-use mosaic creation software specialized to work with LEGO® bricks. With Photobricks, you can make beautiful mosaics from your favorite images with the push of a button. This works for IPads and Macs. Fun stuff.
Lego for Middle Grades
Grow your middle school students’ creative problem solving skills and enable them to become the critical thinkers and creators of the future. LEGO® Education solutions support your teaching efforts with effective, structured and curriculum-relevant teaching solutions for STEM. This is expensive but you might get some ideas just from the ads.
Learning Liftoff
These activities for learning with LEGO® are organized by grade level, from preschool through high school, although many activities could be adapted to work for older or younger students. Scroll down the page for middle school.
