New Course Highlight for HIGH SCHOOL students
We are adding a few courses to our course selections for 2018 - 19:
Journalism I
Do you have a desire to find answers? To serve as the watchdog of society? Or maybe you enjoy talking about sports, music, cooking or the arts? If so, journalism class could be a great opportunity for you. In the class we will produce and maintain a bi-weekly e-newspaper. The website will function like a traditional newspaper, separated by sections and including pictures from the top stories. We will cover everything NCLA and more. You can learn how to be a stronger writer, better photographer (even with an Iphone) and hopefully a little bit about web design. Class to be taught by Mr. Walsh. See Ms. Wood to sign up today!
SAT/ACT/College PREP
Preparation for both SAT and ACT including test taking strategies, practice questions, and preparations needed to improve test scores. In addition to test preparation, the course will include “college prep” in which students will learn other life skills necessary for leaving the nest: organizational skills, general study skills, household skills, and how to communicate with professors or apply for job postings etc.
Dr. Salter will be teaching the class. See Ms. Wood to sign up today!

Falcon Updates
I also post falcon updates to our school website under the Principal's Corner.
If you miss a falcon update or need to refer to an earlier one, you can find them archived there.
No GUM please
Gum is being stuck under desks, sticking to the floor, stuck to clothing......
These are only a few of the reasons why we are asking all students to not chew gum.

Volunteer Opportunities
CHAT
We have immediate openings for CHAT (Clerical Helpers Assisting Teachers) volunteers and are in need of a few team leaders. CHAT meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 8am-10am to do things for our teachers, such as making copies, laminating, making booklets, cut-and-paste projects for crafts, etc. This is a fantastic way to directly help our teachers and students. Please contact Amber Brannon at Ambernbrannan@gmail.com or just show up on Tuesdays/Thursdays.
“Brandi’s List”
Please see here for current volunteer opportunities. We’re currently in need of help with VIC Card Linking Events and the upcoming GaGa Tournament.
