Weekly Happenings

Week of 10/21/19

A Message from the Administrator

Greetings MCS Families,

Today we hit our first construction snafu. Luckily we were prepared for such a case. While digging the footings the excavator caught the water line to our main building. This caused us to lose water during the lunch period. After I was informed I was able to check and our middle school buildings did have water. After a quick brainstorming session with staff we were able to figure out how to get the main building classes over to the portable to use those facilities and wash hands. We have a Culligan water cooler that we moved into the main building so that all K-5 classes had access to drinking water. It was a little inconvenient, but worked for such an occasion.

The construction company was able to put a patch on the main line and we are able to get water back today. There has been a lot of ground work done here this week and should be done with that portion today or tomorrow. Then all will quiet down while they pour the footings and walls to start framing. I will truly be happy to be out of the ground.

Thanks again for being amazing during this project!!!

Sincerely,

Tony Bonuccelli
