ECDC Playground After School is Closed
Your child's safety is our number one concern. It has been reported that on Wednesdays, during the Soccer Shots program, that younger siblings/other children are playing on the ECDC campus after school hours. Please know that this playground is closed after school and only available to our students who are in the after school day care program. Please help us keep all of our students and staff safe by not allowing your children to play on the ECDC campus after hours. The Village Upper Playground (corner of 6th and H) is open after 6 PM and on weekends for public usage and is always welcomed.
In addition, at both campuses, please have your student play/walk on the sidewalk and not in rocks, bark and bushes. We are working diligently to keep our vegetation healthy and alive. Little feet climbing on these sensitive areas is not allowed. Please help us keep our sidewalks clean and free of bark from the planter areas. Our custodians greatly appreciate your help!
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
CAUGHT BEING AWESOME PROGRAM FOR CUSD STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARENTS
Parents, We need YOUR help!
To honor our staff, volunteers, and parents who work so hard to make a difference, we have created a "Caught Being Awesome" Google Form. If you recognize someone through this form, the honoree will receive an email from our Superintendent and a "Caught Being Awesome" window decal that can be displayed to encourage others to spread even more love and appreciation.
Click HERE to access the Google Form to nominate someone! - A link to this form is also available on our District web site.
Volunteering Reminders: VOLUNTEERING AT VILLAGE AND ECDC
VOLUNTEERING AT VILLAGE AND ECDC
Parents who volunteer at Village hold immense responsibility. Please know that if you volunteer or substitute teach at Village you are held to the same high standards that our teachers hold for confidentiality and professionalism. We will not tolerate violations of this policy, as our students safety and welfare is at stake. If you have any questions or concerns about a student that you are working with, please see the classroom teacher or administration to address your concerns.
All CUSD volunteers are required to:
· Complete a Volunteer Application
· Provide a current photo ID
· Present verification of a negative TB Test within the last 4 years.
· Volunteers who will be supervising students "Out of the line of sight" of the teacher require fingerprinting.
If you have not already submitted your volunteer application and documents, please do so as soon as possible.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for our students.
Please submit your volunteer application and required documents to Kelley Englehart at the District Office located 201 6th St.
