College Acceptance and SCHOLARSHIP MONEY

If you have been accepted to a college or enlisted into the military, please bring those papers to Mrs. Rogers in the Counseling & Advisement Office so you can be recognized. Also, if you have been awarded scholarship money, bring the award information to Mrs. Rogers. If you do not bring the information to Mrs. Rogers, you will not be recognized.

BMW Scholars Program

  • The Scholars Program will provide work experience and training for students in manufacturing areas of study such as Mechatronics, Maintenance Technology, Automotive, Machine Tool, Robotics, Logistics, Production Technology and other related degrees.
  • The students also receive tuition assistance while working part-time hours at BMW Manufacturing Co. Partner colleges include Greenville Technical College, Spartanburg Community College, and Tri County Technical College.
  • The BMW Scholars Team will begin recruiting for the August 2016 Scholars class very soon.
  • The posting for the application will be on the BMW website

Are you a hands on or visual learner? Have you looked into Universal Technical Institute? They have a NASCAR Tech program as well as may other opportunities. UTI may be just what you're looking for!

ACT Registration Dates

**Note 3 year students will have the opportunity to take the ACT on campus without charge. That test date is April 19.

College Visit Procedures

Seniors are allowed two excused days for college visits (1 in the fall and 1 in the spring). When you visit the college, be sure to ask the visitor's office at the college for a letter/form stating you were there that day. Turn that letter/form into attendance at PHS.

If you are considering playing a sport at a Division I or II college, you need to register with NCAA by visiting This process must be completed in order to play at the college level. Please see your counselor with any questions.
