Random Acts of Kindness
Student Government would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Random Acts of Kindess this past week.
The Staff and Teachers would like thank the Student Government for their Random Act of Kindness of hosting our lunch, having it catered from Olive Garden last Friday. It was delicious and we all appreciated it very much!
THANK YOU!
Do you have friends interested in our School?
February is Visit Our Schools Month (VOSM).
Our last 2 tours of the month are on Tuesday February 25th at 9:30am and an evening tour at 6:00pm. This is a great opportunity for us to engage with our community about the great things that are happening in our District everyday. While schools welcome members of the public year-round, this coordinated effort provides parents and community members an opportunity to learn more about the many educational opportunities available.
The safety of our students will always remain our top priority. All tour participants will be checked in through normal procedures that visitors follow. Principals or their designee will lead the tours, and groups will never be left unsupervised. Students will continue classroom activities, and the tours will not interfere with student learning.

Graduation is less than 3 months away!
If you have not made direct contact by e-mail or text with Happy Chronister, the graduation coordinator, please let her know that you plan to walk in the ceremony. We have a wonderful, personalized graduation at East High Auditorium on May 19 and we would love to have graduates, their friends, and families attend.
Each graduate who submits 5-7 photos will be included in the slide show that we run starting at 6:40 on graduation night. The official ceremony begins at 7:00. We will feature special talents from our seniors so if you wish to audition contact Happy.
There is a $30 Graduation Fee that covers the cost of flowers and the professional photographer. Please send this fee to Happy Chronister at 4805 Manytell Ave., Anchorage, AK 99516.
Contact her at chronhap@gmail.com or 907-240-7244 to let her know you plan to walk in the ceremony. Then you can get on the e-mail list to find out details about deadlines and activities.

Climate and Connectedness Survey
Family Parents,
The Anchorage School District is partnering with the Association of Alaska School Boards to conduct the School Climate and Connectedness Survey©, a statewide survey for students, staff, and families. This survey measures their perceptions of each school's climate including engagement of students, staff, and families. School staff will use the results to inform their efforts to ensure we have a supportive and caring program for homeschool families.
Family Partnership parent/guardians are asked to complete a family survey. Please log on to the survey here: surveys.panoramaed.com/aasb
Your access code: familypartnershipfamily
The family survey is open now and will remain open until March 31st.
Because Family Partnership is a homeschool program, please answer the survey questions through the perspective of your child's home education or skip the questions that do not apply.
Thank you for your cooperation in this year’s School Climate and Connectedness Survey.
Sincerely,
Jessica Parker
Family Partnership Principal
All students in grades K-12 are welcome to register

Listen to the Mustn'ts - By Shel Silverstein
Listen to the MUSTN'TS, child,
Listen to the DON'TS
Listen to the SHOULDN'TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WONT'S
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me-
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be
