Class Requests for 23-24
It's that time of the year when we begin planning for next year! We will soon start developing class lists for the 23-24 school year. The creation of class lists is a very important task that involves many educators and a great deal of thought. As we create our class lists, we consider the following criteria:
Balancing the male/female ratio
Incorporating different academic levels of students
Matching individual learning styles with teaching styles
Keeping the classroom social dynamic balanced
Although we would like to grant all requests, it would be impossible to do so and could possibly jeopardize the integrity of the process. If there are truly unusual circumstances that you feel must be addressed regarding your child’s placement for next year, please follow these guidelines:
1. Send an email request to Mrs. Dolezal by March 31, 2023. Requests made after this point may not be considered.
2. Describe your child’s learning style and the type, not the name, of the teacher that would benefit your child. There must be an educational rationale for your request.
Rest assured that we are very deliberate about formulating the class lists each year so that your child (and ALL children) have a positive, productive experience at Norris Elementary. Thank you for your support!
