CMMS Staff Important Information
All Staff Meeting:
We will have our weekly all staff meeting on Monday, 4/6 @ 8:00 via Zoom. Here is the link to the meeting, it is also available in the building calendar invite along with a brief agenda. Take some time to view the video from Chris Rykdal and resources below prior to the meeting.
Non-Engaged Students:
Here is the NON-ENGAGED STUDENTS LIST, we will go over during our staff meeting. If you'd like to start documenting students that have yet to engage you may do so on this list. It is tabbed by grade level at the bottom, has space for notes and columns for teacher name/subject. I created 7 periods worth of columns so all periods are accounted for.
Advisory:
During the closure, I'd like for all advisory teachers to check in with their advisory students each week. Are they engaging, how are their grades, do they need any type of support, food, tech, printed material? A few teachers have started up Monday virtual circles, these are going very well! Here are some WELCOME BACK VIRTUAL CIRCLE SLIDES you may use if you'd like to, we will chat more about this during the staff meeting as well. As a reminder, students are engaging with the Canvas SEL course content managed by counselors/admin. This week's info is below.
Online Learning Resources:
Linked here and shown in images below are a few resources for you and your teams to review for online learning success! These are great talking points/strategies/ideas for your weekly PLC meeting agendas as you work through what the rest of this year will look like. Remember to focus on clarity of your power standards, and give consistent feedback to students on their progress made toward those standards, give options and opportunities for students to engage with and ways to access support. Consider a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities to engage and differentiate for all students. Be compassionate, provide nurturing social-emotional support and communicate clearly with students and their families and collaborate to meet their needs. We will further discuss/calibrate our grading plan for the closure during our staff meeting.
CMMS Community Info Zoom Session:
Our next community zoom session will be on Thursday, April 9, 2020 @ 6:00, here is the Zoom Link, it's also on the building calendar. If you have something specific you'd like to have added to the discussion please email Brit.
