Dear Parents,
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! We are happy to have our Stingrays back at school and engaging in new learning experiences!
We celebrated today the success of students during our Rose Bucks trade-in event. Many students earned Rose bucks and purchased fun items and experiences. Students also have the option to save them for future purchases.
Please read below for important school and district news.
Report Cards: Report cards will be viewable in Infinite Campus on March 4th. More information will come about how to access student report cards.
Beginning of the School Day: The first few minutes of the school day are very important for students. Classrooms start the day with morning meetings, daily announcements, and use these moments to connect, build relationships, and have a soft start to the day. Please ensure your child is dropped off at school on time so he/she has ample time to unpack and get ready for school. Students need to be in their classrooms by 8:00 am.
COVID Updates: We have 1 positive student COVID case reported at Rose School this week and 1 student in quarantine. We have 0 positive staff cases to report. If you have additional questions about positive cases and quarantines, you can also check the district COVID Dashboard for up-to-date district COVID information.
Parent Teacher Conferences: At Rose Elementary School we encourage communications on behalf of our students. One of the hallmarks of an excellent school and a strong school culture is a high degree of positive interaction and mutual support between home and the classroom. Twice each year, once in October and once in March, time is provided for parent teacher conferences. During these conferences we seek to accomplish three objectives:
(1) discussing your child’s progress, (2) providing parents the opportunity to share their observations of their child’s progress, and (3) providing the opportunity to share information and discuss plans between teacher and parent and make plans on behalf of your child. Discussions at the spring conferences should primarily be focused on progress and plans for this school year.
Spring conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 17th. We ask that you plan accordingly in order to schedule conferences during the conference days designated by the District. (As a reminder, there is no school for students on Friday, March 18th.)
The allotment of time designated for spring conferences and the number of spaces available is more limited than the fall window. We value your support and will try our best to connect with parents who would like to communicate regarding their child. In addition to classroom teachers, other certified personnel and staff are available for a conference.
As in the past, Rose will be utilizing Meet the Teacher software to schedule Parent-Teacher conferences. You will be receiving a link to Meet the Teacher on March 7th. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Warm regards,
Heather Schumacher, Principal

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS MORE THAN EVER! SAVE THE DATE - February 24, 6:00-7:00 via Zoom
As we start the New Year and hopefully begin our healing from the past year (+)'s trauma of Covid and the losses associated with the virus, it is important we acknowledge the trauma many have experienced--both students and parents, recognize signs and symptoms of anxiety and stress of a traumatic stressor event, and embrace tools and techniques that will help us find balance and healing as we move forward post pandemic.
To register for the program, please complete this form. A link to the evening's presentation will be sent 24 hours ahead of the event.
