Care for Our Community

As many of you are aware, members of our Hillcrest community were impacted by fire last night. A suspected lightning strike struck one of the buildings in the Hillcrest Park Apartments and one building has had significant damage, preventing some residents from returning to their homes. We have many families who live in the larger complex. If we learn of any way we can help the families affected in Hillcrest Park we will certainly share that information with all of you. Our Hillcrest community is always ready to help out and support whenever support is needed.

Change of the End of Day Plans

If you need to make changes to the end of day plans for your child, please call the office before 2:30PM. Teachers are working with students all afternoon and usually do not check their email until students have left for the day. If you call the office at 970-1800, Tanya or Jodi will relay the information to your child and the classroom teacher.

Picture Retake Day

If you missed the picture day this summer or you would like to have a retake of the pictures taken this summer, retake day is Wednesday, October 16th.

We are in need of a couple of parent volunteers to help with retakes, please contact me if you are able to help out. Hours for volunteering are 8:45 to about 10:15.

iPad Expectations

As iPads are heading home and students are spending time on their district issued device, we would like to share our Tech Matrix with everyone. Teachers review these expectations with students each year and we ask parents for their support in helping students understand the expectations. All 3rd through 5th grade students have been issued an iPad for school use that is taken home. Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students have access to a device for use at school only.
