Scheduling Change requests
Student schedules for the 2022-2023 school year will be available on the IC portal after the freshman orientation on Thursday, August 25th ends. Students may request a schedule change by filling out the Google Form on Google Classroom for any schedule changes. The add/drop period will close on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
We will be limiting schedule change requests this year and fill them in priority order.
Seniors>Juniors>Sopohmores>Freshman.
Good reasons to request a change include:
1. Empty block on the schedule
2. Need a class for graduation
3. Already have credit for a class on my schedule
4. Need to discuss a conflict with my school counselor
Bad reasons to request a change:
1. Don't like the teacher.
2. No friends in that period.
3. Want to duplicate my friend's schedule.
Student Schedule Requests must be made by the student (Not the Parent/Guardian) via the link in Google Classroom. We will not be accepting any requests by email, phone, or drop-in visits.

The importance of regular school attendance
Attendance in the 2022-2023 School Year is critical as the community works together to help students achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.
Encouraging regular school attendance is one of the most powerful ways you can prepare your child for success—both in school and in life. When you make school attendance a priority, you help your child get better grades, develop healthy life habits, avoid dangerous behavior and have a better chance of graduating from high school.
When students are absent for fewer days, their grades and reading skills often improve—even among those students who are struggling in school. Students who attend school regularly also feel more connected to their community, develop important social skills and friendships, and are significantly more likely to graduate from high school, setting them up for a strong future.
