2018-2019 Registration is Now Taking Place

We're looking forward to having all of our families return for the upcoming school year. Please be reminded that re-enrollment must be completed by Friday, March 9th in order to guarantee placement for your child for the 2018-2019 school year.

Safety is our Top Concern

The care and safety of each of our students, faculty and staff is our top priority. In addition to reviewing information learned from last summer's Active Shooter training, we're reviewing all of our safety practices. A lock down drill was held last week and we will continue to hold regular drills. In addition, we will continue to follow the guidance of the Archdiocese and the Houston Independent School District.

Dr. McCoy serves on Accreditation Team

We want to make you aware that Dr. McCoy will be off campus this Tuesday afternoon through Friday serving on Assumption Catholic School's accreditation team. She will have limited access to email. Pacers and Trotters

Practice for the Pacers began last Tuesday. It's not too late for girls to join!

Pacers (girls) and Trotters (boys) is a month long intramural basketball program offered at CCCS that is designed to introduce the fundamentals of basketball to any and all students in grades 1st – 4th. The program consists of practices and games (all held in the CCCS gym), which will provide an opportunity for the students to learn the basics of the sport of basketball, grow their existing knowledge, and demonstrate their skills through a FUN and exciting team-play environment.

We are looking for 8 Volunteer Parent coaches and/or 8th graders who are not currently participating in track (4 for girls and 4 for boys). The teams will be divided based on observation of ability, age and experience. Our goal is to create four evenly skilled teams that promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and execution of objectives taught by their coaches. ALL participants will have the opportunity to play.

Please contact Ms. Valerie Arceo, for registration and/or information.

Lenten Fact- Why is Lent for 40 Days?

The Lenten duration of 40 days is practiced in imitation of the 40 days Jesus was in the desert.

"Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He fasted forty days and forty nights and afterwards he was famished." (Matthew 4:1-2)
