Tik tok App
I have been hearing a lot about an app called "Tik Tok". Students are chatting about it a lot at lunch. I went to Comonsensemedia.org and looked up information about it.
Please spend 5 minutes reading this article: Safety Tips for the World's Trendiest App- Make your kid's TikTok private- and more way to keep kids safe. Working together, we can show kids how to have fun, but be safe.
Reminder for Tuesday Library Classes:
With a Monday Holiday two weeks in a row, it's easy for children to forget to bring their library books with them on the first day of school for the week. Those children with Library on Tuesday will not get the Monday reminder to bring back their books. Please make a note of it, and help your child remember to put their library books in their backpacks for return or renewal on Tuesday.
Music is in the air... Please join the 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-grade music students at the District Winter Concert on Thursday, February 20 in the Mark West Elementary MPR (gym). All guitar and band students will perform at 5:45 pm, and all violin/cello and chorus students will perform at 6:45 p.m. Suggested donation at the door is $5 to support the Mark West Education Foundation, which funds all music classes for TK-8th grade in the district.
Don't forget! The 2nd Annual Polenta Feed will be Saturday, March 28! Tickets will be available for purchase at the District Winter Concert, and are currently available at https://mwef.bpt.me. This event is our big fundraiser for the music program, and we are currently in need of donations and sponsorships. If anyone has connections at local businesses that would be willing to donate items for our silent auction or raffle or to help sponsor the event, please contact Shannon Duffy at email@example.com. We greatly appreciate any support that we can get! Help keep music and the arts alive in our district!
