The Continental Congress
BY: MELANIE OLIVARES
Why are we meeting?
September 5, 1774 in Philadelphia. We are here because we want to talk about the British. The other colony's delegates came to talk to about theBritish except Georgia. We are meeting to talk about the British-all the taxes, closing Boston harbor, and having the British soldiers stay in our houses. We are mad because we are not going to have food and the British are taxing us on stamps, tea and sugar. We are not going to have food because the British closed the harbor.
CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
We are here at the Continental Congress talking about the British closing the harbor, having their soldiers stay in our houses, and having to pay taxes. The British are losing money because colonists are not buying any of the British goods. The British are not being fair making us pay taxes and having soldiers stay in our houses. We have taxes on tea, stamps, and sugar.
THE BOSTON TEA PARTY
We are at the Boston tea party because we are paying taxes on tea. We decided that we should throw all the tea to the Boston harbor and we did.
WE THE DELEGATES
We are here the delegates to represent our colony. The delegates from Georgia didn't came they decided not to come to the meeting.
THE SOLUTION OF THE COLONIST
The Solution Of The Colonist
We decided to not buy any of the British goods. Any colonist that buy any of the British goods are traitors. We call them traitor's because they buy like sugar, stamps ,or tea or any other goods. We name them traitors
