Way of living
- Didn't want a 9-5 job
- Lived on the streets or with many other hippies, which helped split up the work load.
- Believed that love was WAY more important than money, where it got to the point where they won't take care of there personal hygiene because it would involved buying shampoo and soaps.
Type of music
Mellow stuff...like some 60's or 70's music, classic rock music, anything by anyone that played at Woodstock (Richie Havens, Sweetwater, Bert Sommer, Tim Hardin, Ravi Shankar, Melanie, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Quill, Country Joe McDonald, John B. Sebastian, Keef Hartley Band, Santana, Incredible String Band, Canned Heat, Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Country Joe & The Fish, Leslie West/Mountain, Ten Years After, The Band, Johnny Winter, Blood Sweat And Tears, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Sha-Na-Na, or Jimi Hendrix)
Drugs
Psychedelic drugs and recreational marijuana were the only type of drugs that hippies did. Other drugs like cocaine, meth or heroin were not done by hippies. Psychedelic drugs gave a great insight on life.
Sexual attitudes
They were very open about sex and sexual activities. When it came to stuff like woodstock, people would doing sexual things in front of other people as the concert would go on.
