Field Flash
March 8, 2021
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you've had a nice week; each day seems brighter and warmer! There are a number of important items in this newsletter, so thank you in advance for reviewing it!
- As a reminder, today is the deadline to complete the form in PowerSchool to indicate whether your child(ren) will join in-person full time or remote full time, beginning March 29th. Each family needs to complete this form for each child.
- As I have previously shared, each year, parents are provided the opportunity to share important information about their children. This information helps us when we group and place students together in classrooms. If you are interested in sharing information, please complete this optional form by March 19th. Thank you, in advance, for sharing this information!
- One final reminder about the 5Essentials survey. If you haven't completed it, please take a moment today to do so. Here's a link to the survey.
For our fully remote students, if you'd like to submit a picture to be included in the yearbook, please take a moment to review these directions and submit your child(ren)'s photograph. We will offer a school picture re-take day for any families who missed our first picture day, or would like their child to re-take their picture. This picture re-take day will be on April 14th.
- Please take a picture of your child against a plain white background.
- Please take a "headshot" (collarbone, neck, face/head).
- Please email the picture to cgoodman@d64.org
- Important: subject line needs to include first and last name of child, grade level, and teacher's name.
- Please send the picture by April 16th
For our in-person families, thank you for your participation in our lanyard system. Each morning we will Look for the Lanyard around your child's neck. The lanyard will signal to us that you've conducted the daily health certification. This means you've checked your child's temperature at home and reviewed the symptoms checklist. If your child comes to school without the lanyard, our nurse will check your child's temperature and review the symptoms. We'll follow up with parents via email. Thanks for helping us as we Look for the Lanyard! This program has been very successful so far with most of our students wearing their lanyards each day. When students begin with us in-person, each student will receive a lanyard on their first day.
We hope you all have a nice weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney Goodman
Principal

Thank you for your support!
