Visitors on our Campus

We welcome all parents and visitors to our school. In order to keep a safe learning environment for all students and staff we ask that all parents sign-in in the office if you are going to a classroom at any part of the day. This is includes dropping students off. If you are on our campus you must have a badge.

We want to be able to start fresh with students being independent walking in this week. If parents choose to walk students in we do not mind but they must sign-in in the office first before entering classrooms. This is for the safety and security of all students and staff. Thank you for helping establish systems and structures of safety for all students and staff at Seawell Elementary School.

Volunteers

Volunteers: If you would like to be a volunteer in the classroom please talk with your teacher about volunteer opportunities. All volunteers must be registered for safety and security through the CHCCS Volunteer Office.

Carpool Safety

Please remain in cars during carpool. We have lots of student traffic going on during this time. We want to be able to monitor students and know where they are at all times. For safety and security student carpool riders will only be released through carpool. Students will not be released to adults unless they are checked out in the office during dismissal. Our staff will not be able to just let students go with adults without checking out through the office first. We want to establish clear systems and structures to ensure all students are safe at our school.

Quick and Easy Ways to Support Seawell

Seawell Family Night on the Town

About once a month, Seawell plans a fundraising night at a local eatery or restaurant in the area. Seawell families are encouraged to visit on that date, and the restaurant in turn donates a portion of sales from that day to the Seawell PTA!

The first Seawell Family Night on the Town is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24 at YoPop Frozen Yogurt (in the Timberlyne Shopping Center, 1129 Weaver Dairy Road, Suite V). Meet up with friends or bring your family for an after school snack or grab some dessert after dinner - all proceeds will support your school!

If you have any questions, or if you would be interested in planning Seawell Family Nights on the Town this year, contact Andrea Tanner at acarsontanner@gmail.com.

PTA Family Letter

Dear Seawell Families,

Your child's academic and social success at Seawell will increase with your committed involvement in the classroom and school PTA (Parent Teacher Association):

  • Gain familiarity with teachers and staff

  • Meet other parents and your children's peers

  • Have a better understanding of what is going on at school

There are many ways to volunteer and contribute. We invite ALL parents, grandparents and guardians to become members of the Seawell PTA and to find at least one way to get involved and participate. https://sites.google.com/a/chccs.k12.nc.us/seawell-pta/join

The Seawell PTA has created a Time and Talent Survey to ask parents what skills and interests they bring as well as time availability. Please follow the attached link to complete the information.
