Our Mission Statement
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, we look to You on the throne beside Your Father in heaven and ask that You be Lord of peace in our hearts. Help us to overcome ourselves again and again and to remain at peace. Then Your will may be done in Your disciples, a power of peace may be around us that goes out into the whole world, and Your name may be glorified on earth. For You are Lord of peace, and we await You. In difficult times, faith and hope will take hold in our hearts all the more firmly, to Your glory, Lord Jesus. For You will suddenly come according to Your promise as the One who does God’s will on earth among all people.
Amen.
A Note from Mrs. Longden
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. I know that our Home and School Association will be providing some treats for the teachers this week. I highly encourage you to individually recognize the staff people who have worked with your family this year – that ranges from not only teachers but also the aides, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, support staff, pastor, and all who make our school operate.
Our staff is strong, but we could not be strong without your support, help, and prayers! We truly appreciate all of you who have given us the kind word at just the right time, those who send an occasional note of appreciation, those who have been so grateful to us for even the small things, for those who pray for our school, for those who help financially, for those who work at our fundraising events, for those who volunteer, for those who help children with homework, for just being a great parent/grandparent/or special person in the life of our kids, for our parish members who connect with the school, and for so much more. Our staff is so thankful for all of you!
We are quickly coming to the end of our 2022-2023 school year. It has been a busy year and one with many wonderful activities. We cannot be more thankful for all the support and help that many have shown. Our students are thriving! We have seen such growth in them as a community connected to God, to each other, and their teachers. We hope that they have the Holy Spirit enlightening them in an ever deeper way as they move forward.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden

Spring Flower Sale Pick-Up

SOCIAL FEST - CLASS BASKETS
Class Baskets:
Class projects this year will be a basket provided by each class.
We are looking for one parent from each class to help with the organizing and execution of this auction item.Tasks include:
- Decide on a theme/idea for the basket
- Ask other class parents for items to fill the basket
- Email classroom teacher so they know what is coming and how to help
- Fill the basket and return to school by July 14th, 2023
Each class basket will have a unique theme. The goal is for the entire class to help solicit the items to fill the basket. Maximum value of the basket would be $500. Please see how you can help.
We are hoping these themed baskets will be a BIG HIT in our Auction again this year...these baskets can range from a night on the town for Mom and Dad, to a family trip to Virginia Beach, and a Family Game Night basket for everyone to enjoy, plus much, much more! We are asking that all parents participate in some way to support your class basket. Parents can purchase gift cards or vouchers for the basket, or donate money that will go toward the purchase of items. Questions? Have an idea for a donation for your class basket?
We are still in need of parents to help with baskets! Please consider volunteering! We need a parent for 7th and 8th grade yet.

$CRIP Announcement
We wanted to let you know about some changes in the Kohl's Cares Fundraising gift cards available through Raise Right/$crip.
Effective immediately, any newly purchased ecards cannot be used to make payments on your Kohl's Charge Card account balances.
School has a current inventory of Kohl's physical gift cards that can be applied to charge card balances. When these cards are gone, the new physical Kohl's cards will not work to pay your charge card balance.
You can buy physical or ecards and load them into your account to use when purchasing on-line from Kohl's. The rebate percent for Kohl's is remaining at 5% for local Kohl's.
Thank you to all our families who support $crip. If you currently are not participating in $crip and would like to save money on your tuition, here is a quick explanation. You order a gift card through RaiseRight/$crip at face value, but the retailer sells it to school at a discount. That discount is retained in an account and is split 50/50 between you and school. You only pay face value for the gift card, you do not pay anything extra. Gift cards available include gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, department stores, speciality stores, airlines, etc. If you have any questions, please call the school office and we will help you get started!

The Jungle Book Auditions
Dress Code/Spirit Wear Store
We will be having a dress code/spirit wear store. If you have any clean, gently used dress code/spirit wear items you no longer need, you can send them to school. If you would like to put your name on them with an amount you would like, you can do that. If you would just like to donate it, feel free to do that as well.
Depending on what we get in, we would like to have the store open on our last day of school, June 1st.
CATHOLIC ALL YEAR-LIVING LITURGICALLY WITH KENDRA TIERNEY
Have you ever wanted to start living liturgically but weren’t sure how or where to start? Luckily there’s a great program on FORMED called Catholic All Year at Home with Kendra Tierney. She’s a homeschooling mom of 10, yes 10 children, ranging from ages 3-20 living in sunny California with a desire to teach Catholic families how to live liturgically. She uses food, prayer and conversation based on the liturgical calendar to share the lives of the saints and the beauty of our Catholic faith. Each video includes a meal based on a Saint’s feast day or season (Advent/Lent), hands-on activities, home decor ideas and all the tools we need to teach our children about our Catholic Faith in a fun and interactive way. She also runs a blog at https:// catholicallyear.com where she provides more fun ideas and products to purchase including my personal favorite, a shirt that says Joan Up “I am not afraid, I was born for this.” Kendra is also on several other social media platforms so it’s easy to follow her and learn more about our Catholic Faith and how to live it all year. As Kendra says, "Be Catholic and have fun doing it."
2023-2024 Volleyball
Volleyball season will be here before we know it! All HTS girls who will be in 5th-8th grade next school year are invited to a volleyball open gym session. Please encourage your daughter to come, whether she is playing for sure, or if she wants to come and check it out.
While the girls play, we will have an informational meeting about the season for the parents.
When: May 22nd from 6:30-8:00 pm. (The meeting will not take this long, but that's how long we have the gym available.)
Where: HTS Cafe and gym.
Below are the forms needed in order to participate in Wildcat Athletics.
Even though there's still time, we encourage you to complete them and bring them to the meeting, so it's one less thing to think about this summer.
You can find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1K4IIaHuo2EXb_YTtHuV-6hPfc6RyngK-?usp=share_link
