Warning Of Winter
Lillian Broadrick Block 6/8
Winter
The frozen droplets of dew,
cover the stiff soil with a thin blanket of ice.
The light reflected of the endless lake of wonder,
is blinded by ruthless and envious sailors
that are eager to steal it away.
It's beginning.
The animals cower and shiver in the merciless cold
as the wind howls throughout the ghastly fields.
Even the tall blades of grass fall captive
To the ruler of darkness and ice.
It's conquering.
A voluminous arctic hand
seizes the world in its loathsome grasp.
It cloaks the world in white
and leaves it to decay.
It's winter.
