So much going on in our world and our little one's minds to process....
Last week's Wednesday CalWORKs Tips & Q&A, Rachel Del Dosso; MFT provided us with tips and tools, while caring for ourselves and our families and processing reactions to injustice.
Rachel also kindly offered her services for a one-time FREE brain spotting therapy session. If you're interested, Rachel can be reached by email or phone:

Coming Together, Standing up to Racism
Elmo's dad talks to him about how people are upset because racism is a huge problem in our country and then he explains racism, so a child can understand.
The first part is, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms takes questions along with CNN's Van Jones and Erica Hill about how to combat racism, and shares a message with kids about how to make a change. Then, Abby Cadabby shares a story about how her fellow Sesame Street friend Big Bird was a victim of prejudice, and how she stood up for him. And a college professor defines white privilege.
There's more...so check it out with your kids.

Racial Justice
As the nation responds to the death of George Floyd, important and difficult conversations about racism and social inequities are taking place across the county. We are providing the following resources for parents and educators to help guide these discussions.

EQUALITY
You declare you see me dimly
through a glass which will not shine,
though I stand before you boldly,
trim in rank and making time.
You do own to hear me faintly
as a whisper out of range,
while my drums beat out the message
and the rhythms never change.
Equality, and I will be free.
Equality, and I will be free.
You announce my ways are wanton,
that I fly from man to man,
but if I'm just a shadow to you,
could you ever understand?
We have lived a painful history,
we know the shameful past,
but I keep on marching forward,
and you keep on coming last.
Equality, and I will be free.
Equality, and I will be free.
Take the blinders from your vision,
take the padding from your ears,
and confess you've heard me crying,
and admit you've seen my tears.
Hear the tempo so compelling,
hear the blood throb through my veins.
Yes, my drums are beating nightly,
and the rhythms never change.
Equality, and I will be free.
Equality, and I will be free.
