*It's Lion Week! This week, we celebrate the feast of our patron saint, St. Jerome, and all of the reasons we are proud to be SJS Lions! The schedule of events is below.
*There is a parent meeting Monday evening at 6:30 PM for 2nd grade families whose children are preparing for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. There is a parent meeting Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM for 7th grade families whose children are preparing for Confirmation. Both meetings are in the school hall. *Janet is also available to help with students who have not yet been baptized or have not received their other sacraments with their classmates. *The St. Jerome Festival is approaching on Sunday, October 2nd. Information about purchasing children's wristbands was sent home in the Wednesday folder and is available here. Wristbands are discounted if you order in advance through school.
*Speaking of the St. Jerome Festival, we
are looking for volunteers to help with this fun, family event; click here for the signup sheet. There are many ways to help, and you can volunteer for a few hours and still have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities! We are greatly in need of volunteers for our kids activities (bouncies, mini-golf, etc). We need more volunteers in order for us to have these activities.
*We are also looking for bakers to stock the baked good tables at the Festival.

*This Thursday, we have a St. Jerome Spirit Wear Day. For a donation, students in 1st-8th grades may wear their gym uniform or any St. Jerome t-shirt (they may also wear the grey spirit wear sweatpants if they have them as well). Students in Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten should follow their teachers' directions. All proceeds raised will go toward funding our service projects that we will be completing as a student body. Donations may be sent in Thursday morning as cash or check or sent via Venmo (@sjsphila).
*This Friday at 10:00 AM, Fr. Reilly will celebrate our Opening School Liturgy for the Feast of St. Jerome. Following the liturgy, we will recognize our Students of the Month for August/September as well as install our 2022-2023 Student Council. The Mass will be live-streamed as well.
*Friday also kicks off the St. Jerome Festival Weekend with movie night at 6:30 PM! Please see below for more information.
