Description of Mushrooms and Chemical Makeup:
Mushrooms are a psychoactive fungi. They contain hallucinogenic compounds such as, psilocybin and psilocin. Psilocybin (PY , 4-phosphoryloxy-N, N-dimethyltryptamine) which is the main psychoactive principle. Baeocystin and norbaeocystin are also present.

Ways to ingest drugs: eat, or put the mushrooms in other food or drinks
Medicinal use of drug: pure synthetic psilocybin has been known to treat compulsive disorders in humans, but not many medicinal uses are present.
Explanation of how the drug alters consciousness: Mushrooms can create feelings of relaxation, dizziness, euphoria, visual enhancement (seeing colors brighter) or visual disturbances (moving surfaces, waves) to delusions, altered perception of real events, images or faces. Or real hallucinations. The sensory distortions may be restlessness, incoordination, feelings of anxiety, impaired judgement of time or distance, sense of unreality or ever depersonalisation which is also called a “bad trip” High can last up to about 6 hours. Physiological effects: Can cause dizziness, nausea, weakness, muscle aching, shivering, abdominal pain, dilation of pupils.
Psychological effects: false feelings of happiness making user want to take the drug again to feel that way which creates a psychological dependence.
Physiological effects: Can cause users serotonin levels to be affected therefore they do not feel happy unless on mushrooms which makes them take the drug again.
Myth: Mushrooms are harmless because they are natural.
