Counselor News:
Week of Respect
On October 5th the students attended an assembly focusing on character education and anti-bullying. The interactive assembly lead by Josh Drean helped the students to further understand the concepts of bullying, empathy, and kindness. Josh reinforced Lloyd Road’s Random Acts of Kindness program, encouraging students to be kind to each other simply because it’s the right thing to do. The students were engaged and excited about the message and have continued to carry it out on a daily basis!
Thanks!

Halloween Parade/Festivities:
Lloyd's Halloween Parade will take place on Monday, October 31st, starting at 1:40 p.m. Information is as follows:
Where: Students will exit out of the side doors into the Lloyd Road side parking lot, turn right, walk on the front driveway toward the playground, wrap around the playground, and walk back down the main driveway to re-enter the same side doors. It is not a very long parade but still enjoyable for the students.
Class snacks: Appropriate snacks/treats for classrooms will be communicated by your child’s teacher since each class’ needs may be different based on allergies or not. Please note the special notice from our nurse in this newsletter.
Any parent that may have signed up to help with a classroom party does need to stop by the office to sign in if they will be in the classroom.
Costume reminder for students that choose to participate in the parade and dress up in a costume: We do allow students to wear their costumes to school. If a costume is worn to school it has to be comfortable and one that the child can still learn in and not distract themselves or others. If a costume is brought to school to be changed into, please make it easy for your child to change into it. Costumes should also not be violent in nature, revealing, or include weapons. Students who have masks as part of their costume can wear it during the parade.
