Testable Question
How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
Hypothesis #1
if the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit, then when 1 bulb is bursts (removed) then the other lights will still light.
Observations / Conclusion #1
I noticed that the parallel circuit was brighter than the series circuit and my hypothesis was correct that when one of the bulbs is removed the other bulbs will stay on
Hypothesis #2
if the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit, then when 1 bulb is bursts (removed) then the other lights will not light up.
Observation / Conclusion #2
I noticed that the series circuit didnt light up as much as the parallel circuit did, and my hypothesis was correct when one of the bulbs is removed then all the lights will not turn on
Final Question
Which series is the best to use for Christmas Lights.
Answer
The parallel circuit is the best because if one of the bulbs is removed or bursts the others will still stay on and the parallel circuit is brighter
