TK & Kinder families "Meet Your Teacher Day"
Our TK & Kinder families are welcome to bring their children the day before school starts: Tuesday, August 23rd, and meet their teachers. Teachers will be out on the front playground grass area from 9:15-9:45am to say hello and welcome their students. Unfortunately, because we have been under construction all summer we can't let students inside the classrooms but they will know where to line up and what classroom door they will enter on Wednesday morning. Following our Meet Your Teacher morning families are encouraged to head over to Doerr Park on Potrero Drive to continue visiting together from 10:00-11:00. Our Home & School Club will be serving popsicles to students.
Bell Schedule: First Day is a Short Day

1st, 2nd, & 3rd: 1:15

Fammatre Bell Schedule 2022-2023.
August & September Lunch & Brunch Menu
Morning Drop off & Pick up:
- There is NO supervision prior to 8:05 a.m. so please remember to wait in front of the school until the gates open. You are required to wait with your student until the gates open and there is supervision.
- If you live close enough to walk to Fammatre, this is highly encouraged. Otherwise, you can park a block or two away from campus and walk onto campus, as the front of the school is very busy.
- If you must drive your student to school, please follow these procedures:
- The drop-off area is in the circle in front of the school.
- The lane closest to the curb is for drop-off ONLY. Please stay in your car and allow your student to exit the curbside as quickly as possible. Leadership parents and staff will help to open your car door to assist your child in getting out of the car.
- Never park across the street and ask your child to cross outside the crosswalk.
- If at all possible, please carpool to help us reduce the vehicle congestion in front of the school.
Lunch & Brunch 2022-2023:
Lunch & brunch this school year will be free of charge to students however we encourage families to fill out the lunch application through our Cambrian website. https://www.cambriansd.org/domain/268. Our District receives LCFF Supplemental Funds and Federal Title Funds that are dependent on the percentage of students who qualify for free and reduced meals. These funding sources are essential and are much needed to provide supplemental programs and resources specifically for students who are needing additional academic and SEL support. Without these funding sources, we would not be able to provide interventions that include paraeducators, additional counseling services, professional development, summer programs, & supplemental instructional materials.
Class Assignments:
Teacher & classroom assignments will be posted on our school website on Monday, August 22nd, after 5:00 PM. The Cambrian District office will be sending you your child's I.D. number via email that you will use to look up their assigned teacher. If you have not received their I.D. number by Monday, call the Fammatre office for assistance. (408) 377-5480 Ext. 3100.
School Supplies:
We have received many calls inquiring about school supplies. The Home and School Club has generously provided the school with the basics for every grade level in addition to providing teachers with more funds to purchase more specific materials for their classes. Your students will have what they need because of the generous funding from the support you have shown the Home and School Club. Thank you, Home and School Club!
First Day Home & School Club Morning Welcome:
Our Home & School Club will be hosting a Welcome Back to School Gathering for all families after the 8:15 bell rings on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 24th, from 8:15 -8:45am in our School Cafeteria. Stop on in to say hello, meet our Home & School Club Team and other Fammatre parents and grab a light morning snack.
First Home & School Club Meeting:
Be sure to mark your calendar for our first Home & School Club Meeting Monday, September 12th, at 7:00pm in our school cafeteria. Kristen, our Home & School Club President, and Melissa Wuenschel, our Vice President, will be discussing projects, programs, & community outreach events they support for our school to start the meeting.
Enjoy the last few days of summer and we will see you on the 24th!
