Leadership Message
Celebrating Growth and Embracing Changes
As we celebrate the journeys of our students, staff, and families of Jean Vanier, we also are preparing for some important and exciting changes ahead. Students moving to new grades and new classrooms in the fall. Our grade fours are spreading their wings and flying to a new learning environment. We even have some staff members embracing new challenges in new buildings. While change is exciting, it can also bring some trepidation and worry. This is natural and we help one another through this with patience, care, and faith. One of the most important things we can teach our children is how to work through the anticipated changes with faith and trust. God has designed each of us in His image and has wonderful plans for our journeys. Through change and challenges we learn and discover the gifts and strengths we have. At Jean Vanier, staff and parents work diligently to prepare our students for the transitions ahead.
As parents and teachers, we often want to smooth the path and make things easier, however, like the butterfly, our children need to work through challenges to learn skills and strategies to become the amazing people God calls them to be. As our grade threes watched with delighted anticipation as the butterfly struggled to make its way out of the cocoon, some of our softest hearts want to “help” them out but we know that God gave them what they needed to pump their wings and fly. The butterflies had a safe environment, food ready, and a lot of love surrounding them. Thank-you to our parents for the continued trust as we work together to help all our children “fly”.
Thank-you to all of our staff for a wonderful school year. We would like to share with you at this point in time our staffing for next year. First, we would like to send our blessings to Panna Howe, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Vany, and Mrs Wispinski as they embark on new journeys next year.

If you are currently leasing but have chosen not to lease next year the chromebooks are also required to be returned Over the summer months, the IT dept. will be servicing them to ensure that the are ready to be used next year. We would ask that you have your child return their chromebook and power adapter to their teacher by Monday, June 26th.
