The Mustang Minute
November 1, 2018 - Issue 9
The Quickest Month of the Year
While November may not be the shortest month of the year, it often feels like the quickest. We have November 6th off for the election, November 12th for Veteran's Day, followed closely by the Thanksgiving break. Even though it is short - we try to pack a lot in! Teachers are doing great interactive lessons, after school clubs are up and running, and we are gearing up for a food drive (start setting aside those non-perishable items now). We also have a book fair that will run during school and during the November 15th parent/teacher conferences. They will have a lot of great selections and a portion of the proceeds go towards the CMS library.
We are off to a busy start in November followed by a hectic holiday season but we will stay focused and on task here at CMS. Take some time this weekend (we get a whole extra hour) to breath and relax before the whirlwind begins!
October Citizens of the Month
Congratulations to the October winners of Dr. Philip O. Coakley Middle School’s Citizen of the Month. Citizens of the Month exemplify the school’s mission statement and are chosen by teachers and staff. To celebrate their accomplishments, an end of the year breakfast celebration will be held for students and their families.
