Superintendent Update

Caldwell Parish Schools

Greetings Team Caldwell!

It's hard to believe that we have less than a month of school left in this school year. We have so much to be proud of in Caldwell Parish. As you look through the newsletter, you'll see it's been a busy spring with activities and events taking place on all campuses. Spring testing is here, and now we are gearing up for end of year celebrations and graduations! Then we will be busy with our 3rd Summer Learning Camp and sports camps all summer long.

On April 20th, our school board made a big decision to restructure our elementary schools for the 2023-2024 school year. We understand that this a monumental change for our community, but we are confident that it will unify our community and allow us to provide specialized instruction for every child in our district. Whether you were for, against or indifferent to the change, we encourage you to join forces with us to make this shift everything we know it CAN be! Our students are definitely worth it!

As far as this year, I challenge you to dig deep and make these last few weeks count! Spring testing is in full swing, and we are looking forward to seeing how much our students have learned during this year. Once again, we thank you for all you do to put our students first. Hang in there and finish strong!

Preparing Chromebooks for End of Year

Prepare for the end of the school year. After testing, have teachers check each Chromebook against inventory documents to be sure all are on site and there is no breakage. Case and chargers are also to be accounted for. Check that charger is the type that fits the device. CPHS teachers and school staff should begin ahead of time to remind students that their Chromebooks are to be returned including case and charger. Each should be checked for breakage/damage and that parts are all included.
