In an effort to help build our Schumacher community, we will be working with PTA to purchase grade level t-shirts for each student to wear for spirit days, special assembly days, and other school-wide events. Please complete the following Google form with your child’s information, including t-shirt size for next year. Thanks!

Skate Night is this Thursday, May 12th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Northland Rolladium! School Skate Night parties are a fun and easy way to help raise money for Schumacher. Bring your students and any other family or friends who want to have a blast at each month's themed skate party. (The more paid skaters, the more money raised for Schumacher.)

The class with the most attendance will be awarded the "Golden Skate Award" trophy to keep in their classroom that month along with a free pass for each student in the class to use at a future public session! This month's theme is "End of the Year Blowout" graduation party where we mix all the popular themes together, including: wear your pajamas, wear your favorite crazy hat, hair, or crazy socks, bring glowing and flashing stuff, AND bring your toilet paper to T.P. the rink and the Schumacher Celebrities at the end of the night!

Skate parties are private events for students and their families and friends. We are not open to the general public during skate parties. You are always welcome to stay and even skate with your child. If you are comfortable leaving your child, simply sign them in with a contact phone number with our experienced rink management and staff.

Mrs. Schwinger will be hosting the annual Schumacher Variety Show again this year. The Variety Show is a great way for our students to practice their performance etiquette skills in front of a live audience. All students have the opportunity to participate in a grade-level variety show Wednesday, May 18th during their specials time. And then the specials team of teachers will choose a few notable acts to perform for the entire student body on the last day of school, Monday, May 23rd at 10:00am. Unlike the grade-level variety show, only students who are invited by the specials team may participate in the all-school variety show.

In order to perform, students must turn in a permission slip by Friday, May 13th. The permission slip as well as other important information was sent home last week in Friday Folders, but you can find the info here as well.

One of the opportunities students will have during Innovations Week is to redo dated or worn furniture. If you have wood (we will not be doing any fabric projects) benches, tables, or chairs that you are ready to discard, please consider donating them to the school to be redone or re-purposed for community work areas around the building. We will also take one of our completed pieces and sell it at the Red Apron to raise money for our school PTA. If you have items to donate, please contact Fifth Grade teacher Cindy Espy at cespy@liberty.k12.mo.us I-Week will take place May 16th-20th. Thank you so much!
