Poinsettia Delivery Day - Volunteers Needed
It’s the most Wonderful Time of the Year – Its Poinsettia Delivery Day!
Please join us on WEDNESDAY, November 30th
We need TEAMS of people (one driver & one Poinsettia delivery person who pops out of the car) to drop off Poinsettias to all the local business recipients.
As a team, you will have 8 to10 deliveries all over the Treasure Valley, and your job is done! BONUS, you get to be the first to choose your Poinsettias as we load the rigs…now that is something worth volunteering for! We need to deliver 135 poinsettias for three of our clients on this day, so we need volunteers with BIG trunks to hold approximately 10 poinsettias.
Please reply to Jenn Barber at barberfamily@q.com with interest or any questions.
THANK you so much for your help and for giving back to East Junior High!!!

Poinsettia Sales:
We are SOLD OUT! Edwards Greenhouse generously helps our school raise PTO funds annually by providing gorgeous (and HUGE) poinsettias for us to sell. These locally grown beauties are the perfect gift for neighbors, family, friends, or co-workers. They are a truly spectacular way to start the holidays! Poinsettia pick up day is Nov. 30th.

Many thanks to the following parents that helped with the East Junior High School Parent/Teacher Conference Dinners. We have a special set of teachers who care about our children and appreciate what we do for them. We are incredibly lucky and so glad we could do this for them! A special shout-out to the following people who gave their time, resources, and talents for the dinners:

Mix'em Up Trail Mix and Caramel Apple Bar!
The week before Thanksgiving, we thought we would put together a fun make-your-own-mix 'em-up bar so the teachers can enjoy their snacks in the lounge or take them back to their desks. Donation drop-off will be Monday, 11/14, and the bar will be set up Tuesday-Friday, 11/15-11/18. We created lots of opportunities to join in the fun!

Let's send the freshman off in style! Tradition at East Junior High is to Celebrate the 9th graders with a “going away party” as our final goodbye. Thank you to those that have signed up to support making this happen. If you missed the opportunity to sign up to volunteer, please email amberjeanpearson@gmail.com. The team will begin to plan in late November. To make this event memorable and available to all, we welcome donations to the cause. Please send checks payable to East Jr High PTO (Note Freshman Farewell) or Venmo @EastJrHigh-PTO
School Dances:
School dances are back!! The planning for these quarterly dances will be student-led, but we are looking for a chair(s) to help with communication and be the PTO liaison. Please let us know if you are interested in helping bring some fun back into our school! Contact Lindsay: lblainbarnes@hotmail.com
Open PTO Positions:
The East PTO Board is looking for a couple of great new members to take on leadership roles. These positions require minimal time and are a great way to engage in our East Community.
Vice President: This role helps coordinate volunteers and works on projects with chairs and the PTO Board. This position can be 1-2 years and usually assumes the role of the President.
Please contact Lindsay Barnes if you would like more information on either role. lblainbarnes@hotmail.com
East Sign Update:
The installation of our new information sign for the front of the school has been delayed, but we are still hopeful that it will run before the school year ends.
Thank you to those who contributed to the East Sign Campaign last spring. The sign will cost approx. $25,000! It is not too late to donate- Please make your check payable to BPSEF or East Junior High PTO. Donations are tax-deductible!
A HUGE Thank You to Dutch Bros. for supporting East with a very generous donation!!
