Items for Winter
It's time to start bringing winter clothing. Please make sure your child has mittens, hat and a winter jacket. Snow pants and boots are a must once the snow starts to fly, but some children also like them for warmth before the snow.
We do take the children outside at least once a day. Our outdoor policy reads:
We try to go outside every day. We are not staffed to keep children inside when everyone else is outside. Please make sure your child has the proper clothing to go outside every day. Our policy in the winter is as follows:
15 degrees and below – Don’t go out
16 – 25 degrees – 30 minutes max.
26 degrees and above – Staff discretion

Menus
Family Style Meals
In our center we incorporate family style Meals. Family-style meals teach the children skills that are important for growth and development. Here are just a few examples; table manners, taking turns, sharing, communication, teamwork, math, and hand-eye coordination.
We encourage you as parents to also incorporate it into your family.
~Tips to use at home~
*Keep it simple(start small).
*Have serving bowls and utensils that are appropriate for your child to use.
* Be ready for accidents and have your child help clean them up without discouragement.
*Let your child help sent the table, even if it's just putting out napkins or cups.
* Have a variety of foods that are healthy and kid friendly, ask your child to help plan meals.
*Incorporate new foods and encourage your child to try them.
When having a family-style meal, encourages the child to try new things. At first they may take more than what they need, but after a while they will cut back and only take what they want.
