Hello Smith Family,
We are an amazing TEAM! Together everyone achieves more for the betterment scholar achievement. As we are entering Interim One for the First Nine Weeks; it is a good time to analyze data by digging into the following questions:
- Are scholars on track from previous STAAR assessments?
- How are scholars achieving from one assignment to the next?
- What are some common strengths?
- What are some opportunities to grow?
The above questions are steps to begin digging deeper into scholar work. I am looking forward to providing more details to Staff Members this week and inviting families to hear more on October 6th @ 6PM in our cafeteria.
Let's continue our Buffalo Voyage this week with analyzing scholar work to move the dial 2023!

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Beaumont ISD uses this month to inform, shift perception, spread hope, and share resources with all to increase awareness. We aim to ensure that staff members, students, and families have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and seek help.
Trust - As we build relationships, we build character. The word of the month is Trust. Trust is putting your confidence in someone you can depend on. Honor is letting someone know you see how valuable you really are. The word must be written on your board as a visual representation of character building.
Parent Newsletter - Teens have so many relationships to honor in their lives — parents and other family members, teachers, administrators, coaches, friends, teammates — the list goes on! It is also important to remember that trust is a BIG concept and one that many people don’t really know how to do well.
Questions for parents to consider:
• How can I reflect and then share my explicit thoughts about when trust is
broken and specific ways they can regain my trust?
Questions to ask your child:
• What do you think trust means?
