PSAT Exam

From 8:00 - 11:00am on Wednesday, quite a few of our students will be taking the PSAT exam. The PSAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board who writes the SAT. Approximately 3.5 million students take this test each year and it aims to best prepare students for college entry exams.

Manufacturing Night

On Wednesday night, the HIRE Education class at the high school will be hosting an event at the Schergen's Center. Along with Perry Central students, they will be showing information about area industries and the technologies they utilize. Our robotics team will also be showing some demonstrations AND there will be a drawing for a free drone!!

Report Cards - Thursday

Report cards will be handed out Thursday during homeroom. Be sure to put them on the fridge at home....for old time's sake.

Weekly Stuff

Bad Joke of the Week

Why couldn't Dracula's wife sleep?

Spooky Halloween facts!

-Halloween was originally known as Samhain, a Celtic festival.

-The stereotypical "devil" costume was made to mock the devil back when Halloween was known as "Hallow's Eve"

-The Jack-o-lantern came from someone named Jack being given a pumpkin from the devil, and carved it into a lantern using a turnip. There is a whole story with more info.

-At many times around Halloween, people will find real corpses and mistake them as Halloween props.

-One man took out life insurance on his son and laced a piece of candy he got on Halloween with Cyanide to collect the money. He thought he would get away by blaming it on urban myth.
