Dear Cobra Families

It’s hard to believe it’s December. The end of 2019 is drawing near already. Each January 1st marks an end of one year and the exciting beginning of a new year. At Rosemary Middle School, we work to have new beginnings all the time. Something to spark new learning, a connection with previous background knowledge, and the start of new thoughts and information.

I am proud of our school, its students, staff and families for many reasons. As we begin a new calendar year, I would like to reflect on some new beginnings at RMS. In every school, but important in middle schools, where students are going through adolescence (talk about new beginnings), the climate in the school is important. Our staff has been focused on creating a positive climate for learning every year. However, this year, we have focused many of our initiatives under a big umbrella of PBIS, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. Our teachers work tirelessly to keep learning engaging, students focused, and parents involved in their child’s success. As you begin your new year, we will continue to look for additional ways to improve our climate and to create new beginnings in learning for your child.

Amidst this busy holiday season, I would like to invite you and your families to take some time to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful musical sounds of our chorus and band students at our annual Winter Concert that will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5th at Andrews High School Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm.

As always, feel free to call with any questions or concerns.

LaTanya Brown Goodson,
