Reading and Writing
Wonders Reading
Clinton Public Schools has adopted ELA curriculum, Wonders (grades 1-6), which contains recursive reading and writing each week. Contact Mrs. Hime if you would like to discuss, collaborate, or plan.
90 Minute Reading Block
Oklahoma's Reading Sufficiency Act requires a 90 minute reading block in Kindergarten through 3rd grade and recommends 90 minutes of reading instruction for upper elementary. The OSDE has published slides that explicitly break down the 90 minutes.
Measured Progress Released Items
Measured Progress has released teacher items that may be of some benefit to you. Within the items you will find a writing checklist, rubric, and writing samples.

This is the first book I have read by author Lisa Wingate. She attended OSU and lives in Texas. I read this book over Christmas break, sitting on a beach, living well. I recently discovered it is a series, I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
