there was a first nation's camp there the brought more than fur to there trades there was gold. word quickly spread through out canada over 30,000 prospector came with in a year there were many fights between the first nations and the british because of over fishing and disease witch then led to there population going down.

The richest discoveries of fine flour gold occurred between Hope and Yale in the fraser river canyon. This place was controlled by Americans who provoked conflicts between whites and aboriginals .
