Ginger: Spice or Herb?
Some sources say it is a spice others say it is an herb. Ginger is grown in tropical climates. It started in Cambodia and across Southeast Asia, and is typically grown in most tropical countries including Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Ginger is used from its plant and is propagated from rhizome pieces.
What do you do with ginger?
Ginger is used in cakes, breads, cookies, and Asian dishes.
A fun fact about ginger is that it is recognized as a remedy for appetite loss, indigestion and motion sickness. Ginger root has a proven ability to combat all forms of nausea and vomiting, and is often taken as a tea by pregnant women suffering from morning sickness.
