From the Desk of the Principal
I hope everyone has a great extra long weekend! The faculty had a great retreat today. Thank you for all of your prayers.
Please join us next Thursday at 7pm in the gym for our Parent Collaborative/School Board Meet and Greet. This is a great way to meet our School Board and Parent Collaborative leadership team. This will be a casual night of conversation with some great food and some adult beverages.
Also, next week we will be starting up our weekly prayer list for the community. Please email me if you would like to add someone who needs our communities prayers added to it.
After an always exciting start to the school year, I hope everyone gets some extra time to rest and relax. We look forward to seeing everyone back next Tuesday!
Blessings,
Dustin
From the Desk of Melissa Dugas - Advancement
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 7th Annual Golf Tournament! With over 100 golfers, this was our most well attended tournament yet! The rain held out for us and we had a great day on the course. A special thank you to the golf committee - Bob McCaffery, John Trendel, Rob Sacchetti and Andrew Campo for all of their work over the past few months. It was truly a team effort and I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put into this event to ensure its success. And a success it was! We raised over $23,000 for to help support financial aid at BSS.
Planning for the BSS Auction is now underway. Please see below for some new things we have planned for this year's event.
BSS 'Back to the 80's' Dance Party & Auction
Flash back to the 1980s where the music was big and the hair was even bigger. Blessed Sacrament School presents "Back to the 80's" Dance Party and Auction. This annual event is the biggest and best party of the year to help raise money that directly helps our students receive the best education experience we can provide.
We hope you will join us on Friday, March 27th at The Cape Club in Sharon. This year's event will consist of a cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvre, silent auction and raffle, food stations serving an array of delicious foods, live auction and an 80s band so you can kick up your heels and dance the night away!
More details will follow and tickets will go on sale in early January. Auction Committee Meeting We are looking for individuals who are interested in helping out with this years auction. There are a variety of ways to get involved so please come to our first committee meeting on Friday, October 25th following morning assembly to find out how you can help!
Volunteers
Thank you to all the Golf Tournament volunteers including Jennifer Trendal, Jen Caruso, Florence Dolivramento, Suzanne Yeghian. Thank you also to our teachers Tracey MacLean, Rob Hall and Rachael Ferullo for taking the day to help out!

Thank you to all who joined us for our October PC meeting earlier this week. A recording of the meeting is posted to the BSS PC Facebook page and full meeting minutes will be distributed soon via email.
On Thursday, 10/17/2019 from 7p-10p in the school gym, the BSS School Board and PC Leadership welcome you to join in a casual Meet & Greet. Light appetizers, beer and wine will be served. We encourage all (parents and teachers) to come enjoy a casual evening with other parents. Please RSVP here so we can plan optimally. Thank you and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
Last call for bowling! The deadline to register for Mother/Son Bowling at North Bowl Lanes on 10/20/2019 in Attleboro is tomorrow. Don’t miss out on a chance to win a bowling trophy and bragging rights during this great night! Register here.
There are several volunteer opportunities at upcoming Parent Collaborative events this fall. Santa’s Workshop (taking place this year on 12/04/19) is recruiting volunteers to help set up tables and gifts for students to purchase, to staff the workshop itself, and to clean up after the workshop is over. This is a fun way to earn service hours and get into the holiday spirit! Parents interested in signing up to volunteer can use this registration form.
