Interested in applying to out-of-state schools? Apply on the schools' websites directly! As out-of-state tuition is so much more expensive, make sure to check the deadlines for non-resident scholarships! (The criteria is different for every school!)
Do the FAFSA - the earlier the better

FAFSA = Free Application for Federal Student Aid (...the only way to apply for grants, or FREE MONEY, to pay for college!) Want to learn more? Watch my presentations on financial aid!

Part 1: Overview + FAFSA

Part 2: Scholarships

View my PowerPoint slides so you can access links!

What do you need to complete the FAFSA??

Both the student & parent will first need to each create an FSA ID using your Social Security Number & birth date.

The 2021-22 FAFSA will use 2019 tax info. Other required info shown below!

**In some situations, students may not be required to provide parent info on the FAFSA. Please make an appt. with me to discuss unique circumstances.

Before you start the FAFSA, here are the documents you'll need to have on hand. If you're a dependent student, you'll need all of these from your parent as well. Social Security Number, Federal Tax Info, Records of untaxed Income, bank statements, driver's license, alien registration number, records of investments, federal student aid pin, bank statements.

'TIS THE SEASON!!!

scholarships
...it's getting to be that time of year! Many colleges have automatic admissions scholarships. Make sure to check the deadlines of schools for which you've applied. Here are a few from Idaho:

Additionally, lots of colleges have general scholarship applications (for which you will need to submit an additional application). Here are the links to a few:
