Spring Pictures that were originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 will be rescheduled when we return to school.

Important Announcements

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear asked public and private schools in Kentucky to, as of Monday, cease in-person classes for at least two weeks to curb the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, CornerStone Preparatory School will be closed Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. Coursework will continue during the closure through Non-Traditional Instruction. We will monitor the situation and in collaboration with our health department, the Governor, and state health officials will determine if an extension beyond this initial closure is necessary.

While this is an unprecedented situation, we appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. If you have any questions, please contact the school at (270) 841-7540 or info@cornerstone-prep.com.

Big picture
Mrs. Lile is excited to be returning as the Principal at CornerStone Prep for the 2020-2021 school year. In living up to the CornerStone Prep motto, Mrs. Lile will be serving as principal in a distinctly different manner. As many of you know, her husband Jeremy recently returned from deployment and is now stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. The organizational leadership at CornerStone Prep has been restructured to allow Mrs. Lile to relocate with her husband and conduct business remotely. Mrs. Lile will work on-site at times throughout the year as well.

What does this new organizational leadership look like?

Mrs. Lile will continue to be the head of the school. She will serve as the chief executive officer, overseeing all operations. She will provide instructional leadership and set the overall tone and agenda for the school, students and staff. She will collaborate with the board of directors to implement school policies, enforce these policies and manage the staff to ensure compliance with the school's policies. Mrs. Lile will also establish goals and objectives for the school and work with employees to ensure compliance with these objectives.

Mrs. Lile will be graduating with her doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Superintendency certification in May. Her coursework has played a vital role in the restructuring of the organizational leadership at CornerStone Prep. Simply stated, Mrs. Lile's role will be very similar to that of a public school district's superintendent. Most superintendents work off-site and conduct regular site visits throughout the school year.

Who will be in charge when Mrs. Lile is not working on-site?

Mrs. Audrey Morgan has been hired as the Executive Director and she will conduct daily operations. Mrs. Morgan will administer the budget, oversee the facility, encourage parent involvement, handle disciplinary matters, and assist Mrs. Lile in establishing and implementing goals and objectives for the school. Simply stated, Mrs. Morgan's role will be very similar to that of an Assistant principal.

Will anyone be assisting Mrs. Morgan with daily operations?

Mrs. Rebekah Buchanan will be serving as the Office Manager and will maintain student attendance and academic records, process admission of new students, oversee school-wide assessment, as well as assist Mrs. Morgan with administrative responsibilities.

Who will I contact if I have a question or concern?

Most likely, Mrs. Buchanan will be the first person you speak with when you call the school. If Mrs. Buchanan cannot answer your question or resolve your concern, she will refer you to Mrs. Morgan. If Mrs. Morgan cannot answer your question or resolve your concern, she will refer you to Mrs. Lile.

CornerStone Prep is excited about this distinctly different opportunity!
