CLASS PLACEMENTS FOR 2017-2018
Teaching staff will soon be working together to determine class placements for the 2017-18 school year. Many factors are considered when placing students in classrooms. We will look for the best possible combinations to support success for each and every student.
As in past years, we discourage parents from making requests for a specific teacher for their child, however, there may be circumstances that we are not aware of that may impact your child's placement. If there are special circumstances that we need to know about please communicate these in writing to Mrs. Goettl by Friday April 14th.Thank you

News from our School Nurse - March is National Nutrition Month

• Eat the rainbow! Aim to fuel your kid with five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Get more tips to navigate your tween’s health at MiddleSchoolHealth.org.
• Sugar and fat are poor fuel for middle school kids. Balanced foods are better fuel for growing bodies. Get more tips to navigate your tween’s health at MiddleSchoolHealth.org.
• H2Oh-yeah! Water is the best beverage for growing bodies. To keep your tween in top shape, limit juice to no more than 8 ounces per day. Get more tips to navigate your tween’s health at MiddleSchoolHealth.org.

New Class Pets in 5th Grade
Please welcome our new 5th grade friends! Ms. Kania’s class has adopted 3 VERY cuddly rats from the Eau Claire Humane Society! Their names are Geronimo, Domino, and Kipp. The students didn’t just get them, they had to earn them with good behavior. The three rats are brothers and only 2 months old. The plan was only to get two rats, but Ms.Kania surprised them with a third!
If you’re thinking there’s no way you would get a pet rat, it might surprise you to know that they are incredibly social and playful. Many of the students were unsure about the idea of a pet rat but that sure changed quickly!
Here are some pictures of our new little friends!
