OverDue or Lost Books?

It is getting to be that time of year when I will need the library books returned briefly (even for renewal) to inventory them. For accounting purposes, the SRC needs to know how many books and DVDs are actually available to our school community. For that reason, I need to physically see and account for each book each year.

If you fear that you have lost a book, please look for it now and turn it in to the SRC. All library materials not accounted for by the end of the month will be deemed lost and your account may be charged for those items.

What does this mean for you? Turn in or renew all of your library books by the end of May and you will be in good standing with the SRC. If you receive a note from the SRC about an item, please see Mrs. Weaver immediately.

New Books!

Get Caught Reading!

Please send Mrs. Weaver your "shelfies"! Share photos of you in your home library. Also, beware of the SRC reading patrol - they are still looking for Prairie readers. You might be next!

Apps for Cataloguing your Personal Library

Did you ever want to better organize your books at home or find a way to keep track of who borrowed your favorite book? Here are some apps available to help. They all have different features, so read the description before you purchase and choose the one that best fits your needs. I have tried a few but do not have a favorite yet. Let me know if you have a cataloguing app to recommend.

Do You Still Need Volunteer Hours?

Mrs. Hagopian could use 2-3 students on Friday, May 8th at noon to assist in the set up of the book fair. Please note that school is out at 11:45 this day so transportation home will need to be something other than the bus. Also, volunteers are needed the afternoon of Friday, May 15th to take down the Book Fair materials in the Primary library. Please see Mrs. Hagopian to schedule your volunteer service.
