Kindergarten
Ms. Miszewski, Ms. Klatt, Mrs, Czarnecki, & Mrs. Krahn
We hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break! We cannot believe we only have a few weeks left of Kindergarten!
Language Workshop
We are making our way through our Growth Unit! We have been reading different fiction stories and thinking about how characters grow and change. We have also been looking at story elements including: Characters, Setting, Problem & Solution. Next week we will be wrapping up our Growth Unit, and then diving into some nonfiction books. We will be studying Inquiry next.
Writer's Workshop
This week we have been working on narrative pieces. We have been practicing writing our stories across multiple pages, making sure we have a beginning, middle, and end, as well as checking for spelling and punctuation. We have learned how important it is to edit our work, and read it out loud to make sure that it makes sense. Writers also share their pieces with others so that they can get feedback and make corrections.
Math Workshop
This week we have been exploring double digit numbers. We have been looking specifically at teen numbers, and trying to figure out how many "10's" there are, and how many "1's" are left over. We have also been using Ten Frames to help us practice counting, and seeing multiple groups of ten.
