Seckinger Traffic Plan
We want to provide information on traffic patterns to our entire community early and often! The good news is that our campus has two entrances. Our school hours will be 7:10-2:10. Please help us spread the word. Attached is the traffic pattern for bus and vehicle entry/exit to campus. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we all learn to follow the traffic pattern to ensure safety and efficiency.
Buses will follow the red pattern and enter/exit at the traffic light (which is almost completed).
All other vehicles will enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Parent drop off/pick up will follow the blue pattern. Students may be dropped off at the lower attendance office entrance at 6:45 AM. We encourage you to practice this traffic pattern beginning on July 11.
Student drivers will also enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Student drivers will be provided a lot assignment at Open House. Each student who drives an automobile to school must register the vehicle by purchasing a parking permit. Parking permits cost $70.00 for the year. Parking will go on sale beginning July 11, 2022 through MyPaymentsPlus. Parking on campus is a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of the student to maintain this privilege.

Announcements and Reminders
Branch Out with the Gwinnett County Public Library
Students: did you know that you can check out books for free all summer long (no late fees!) at the Gwinnett County Public Library? You also have access to all of the GCPL digital resources (including LinkedInLearning, Tutor.com, Mango for learning new languages, and digital magazines and ebooks). Students can login to search the library catalog on the GCPL web site with their student number as the username and their birthday (MMDD) as the password. The GCPL also has a chat feature on their web site if you have difficulties with logging in. You can download the Gwinnett County Public Library app as well to put books on hold and also check out their Libby ebook app for reading books straight from your device.
Check out the latest GCPL promotion below and join the @atlhawks' Check It Out Reading Challenge! When students K-12 read 5 books, they earn 1 FREE youth ticket to a select Hawks game during the 2022-2023 season. Visit your local Gwinnett County Public Library for a bookmark! Challenge runs until Sept 2. For more, visit https://on.nba.com/3tfIqwA

SKG Guard and Percussion Summer Clinics
Interested in Guard or Percussion at SKG but you aren’t quite sure if you want to join marching band yet? Come check out our Wednesday Clinics in June to give it a “test run”, meet our instructors, and have fun! Guard is open to rising 6th-12th graders (no experience required!) and Percussion is open to rising 9th-12th graders in the SKG Cluster. You do not have to be signed up for marching band to attend the clinics. All interested students are welcome. If you're in town and available, come by! Spread the word!
We will meet at the back of SKG (this is a location change from our first clinic) from 5pm-7pm each Wednesday in the month of June. Students should enter campus from Sardis Church Road (main entrance) and drive around to the back of the building. Car riders should drop off outside the Main Gym Entrance (across from the stadium). Student drivers should park in the back “Rainforest Lot”.
We hope to see you at our clinics! Email Ms. Cavender, Director of Bands, with any questions - hannah.cavender@gcpsk12.org
