Continuous Energy Improvement Program

Mr. Dale Reitz, Energy Champion for the Parkland School District who is being paid for by PPL, recapped the efforts of newly formed GREEN TEAMS in all buildings who work to conserve energy and be good stewards of the environment. As a result of this initiative, together the buildings have achieved $112,000 in total savings since the program commenced two years ago at pilot school OMS and this year in all buildings.

Rich thanked Dale Reitz for his informative report and the teams who have saved a lot of money and become more conscientious stewards of energy consumption and conservation. He thanked Angie Patterson for her dedication to children and said she will be truly missed as Angie has submitted her plans to retire in January 2017.

Mr. Kennedy, Board President, thanked all of the teachers and tech integrators for coming in congratulated all of the students who were recognized during the meeting.

The 13th Annual Festival of the Arts is this weekend. The public is invited to enjoy the event all day on Saturday, rain or shine.
