Covid Updates
Per current CDC guidelines, after testing positive for COVID, students and staff are returning to school on Day 6. (Day 0 is the date of positive COVID test or start of symptoms). As a reminder, returning students and staff must continue to wear a well-fitting mask at school through day 10.
We continue to practice mitigating strategies, including promoting ventilation with open windows and doors and running rooftop units to increase the number of fresh air exchanges. With the upcoming spring weather, we will also take advantage of outdoor space when possible.
Transportation Information
Bus registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. Please visit our Transportation Page for all details and links.
Chromebook Information For Grade 8 Families
We are excited to share with you that Milton High School will continue with our one-to-one Chromebook initiative (1:1) for all ninth and tenth grade students next year. In adopting this model, all ninth and tenth grade students will receive a school-issued Chromebook that they will take to and from school on a daily basis. Ninth and tenth grade students will not be allowed to bring their own device to school.
All current eighth-grade students will be asked to return their loaned Chromebook and charger to Pierce Middle School the last week of school. Students attending MHS this fall will receive their Chromebook in advisory on the first day of school. All 9th grade students will keep their school issued Chromebook throughout the summer and 10th grade year.
Optional Chromebook insurance will be offered to all students loaning a Chromebook. It is highly encouraged to purchase insurance for their school-issued Chromebook. If insurance is declined, students are held responsible for damage beyond reasonable wear and tear as outlined in the Loan Agreement. Information on how to purchase Chromebook Insurance and 1:1 Chromebook initiative for the 2022-23 school year will be shared in the coming weeks.

Community News
The two-year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd will be marked by a vigil on Wednesday, May 25th from 6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. outside at the Parkway Methodist Church on Blue Hills Parkway in Milton. The event is intended to keep the commitment to justice alive as we reflect on this tragic anniversary. The vigil is being organized by Courageous Conversations Towards Racial Justice and community partners. This is the 3rd year the group has organized similar events including the ‘March for George and Justice’ in 2021 from Milton to Mattapan that was attended by hundreds and three standouts in 2020 bringing 3000 people to the parkway. All are invited to attend and interested volunteers should email courageousconversationsmilton@gmail.com.
